Thank you so much for deciding to contribute to Open Paws!

Here’s how you can get started in 4 simple steps:

Fill out the form on our website, if you haven’t already. Make sure you select all of the ways you’re interested in contributing, so that you get added to the correct team(s).
1. Depending on how you filled out the form on our website, you’ll be added to one or more of the team pages listed below.
2. You’ll receive either an email or a message on Discord letting you know once you’ve been added to these pages.
3. If you don’t receive this within a few days (or if you want to be added to more pages) you can either message Sam on Discord (his handle is artificiallyintelligent) or send him an email at [email protected]

1. Join the Technical Team (‣) if you want to participate in development & engineering
2. Join the Non-Technical Team (‣) if you want to assist with tasks that don’t require any technical expertise, such as providing feedback on AI responses
3. If either of the links above say “no access”, it means you haven’t been added to that team yet. Contact Sam if you still don’t have access to your correct team(s) after a few days.
Join our Discord server. We primarily use Discord for chatting with each other and use this Notion for project management. We highly recommend joining Discord to stay in the loop with Open Paws.
Join the next office hours session relevant to your team. We encourage everyone to join at least the first session that fits their schedule. We've scheduled times to accommodate different regions, including the US, EU, and AU, for both technical and non-technical teams. If you're in Asia, any of the AU times might work best; for Africa, the EU times could be a good fit; and for those in South America, the US times might be most suitable.
